My Thoughts:

"It’s impossible to make excellent decision when you are caught up in the busy whirl of everyday activities. “ (The power of focus)

We are in the information explosion era. Everyday, we are bombarded with information and opinions on the internet. It’s easy to get distracted or lost and get influenced by others. Eventually, we may even forget what we truly want in life. Therefore, it’s important to take a step back and focus on our thoughts allowing us to clear our mind to see things from a new perspective.

Somedays, you just want to stay in bed and escape from the world. Getting overwhelmed and unmotivated is a life cycle. If you are feeling stuck, it’s time for your brain to take a break. We can hardly see a big picture when we are too busy in life.

Nowadays, it is easier to be influenced by the news and social media. It is good that we can get inspired from different people. However, it can be overwhelming at the same time.
You may be distracted from social media that you should be doing something else or wanting something else. Gradually, the more you scroll on social media, the less you will be motivated to focus on the work you are supposed to do. This is because you have used up your dopamine that creates energy and enthusiasm for your day. Ultimately, you may get lost and forget what you truly want for your life.
Therefore, “Focus” is so important for you to reach your destination. I have learnt that what is good for others may not be good for you. You may receive a lot of advice from your parents, peers and others. However, you don’t need to take every criticism because at the end of the day, you are the only one who knows your strength, vision and what is the best for your path. You just have to do what you are naturally good at and passionate about so you can stay consistent no matter how many obstacles you encounter.
It is unnecessary to follow the trend and follow what is labeled as successful by the society. All you have to do is to trust your intuition and be patient. Failing is just a process for you to grow and improve. Today, you may think what you are doing has no concrete result. Nevertheless, you will figure out everything you have done can be connected ultimately and thank yourself for not giving up.
Life is full of distraction, it’s easy to lose track of what you are doing. When you hit a slump, just let your brain to have a vacation, then you can clear your mind to see things from a different perspective. After that, you will be rejuvenated and will be able to figure out a new direction to FOCUS on again. I am sure you will get lost again and again because that is just “life” :)
It’s certainly normal not to have your life together all the time because feeling lost and unmotivated is a cycle. Just remember, if you can recover from the first slump, you can recover from the 2nd, 3rd…slump. Friendly Reminder: You are more capable of what you think you are.
